Chapter 24 Rex first enters

Climbing the mountain again, Rex gets to the top. He slowly made his way closer to the camps. At first he did want to be seen. He made sure to stay away from high traffic areas and waited in some trees outside the first camp.

The first thing he noticed was that the camps were on edge. Feeling that something was wrong, Rex wanted to get in.

"This will be interesting." Rex whispered.

Walking slowly around Rex made sure to keep a close eye on everyone. When the opportunity arose, he quickly knocked out a person and dragged them into a thicket.

He did not know anything about the cloak. He figured the best way to deal with it was slowly.

He wiggled his way on top and once he had put his arms through. He lifted himself up slowly allowing the other person to fall out.

"Done." Rex thought.

Killing the man, Rex made his way into the camp. While he was walking, he heard a very faint bug. It was nothing but an ordinary bug. Rex immediately felt that this group was led by a Devil Cultivator.

Walking closer to another spot, Rex froze when a hand was placed on his shoulder.

"The boss wants to see you."

Knowing that nothing good would come out of this. Rex silently obeyed.

Walking into a normal tent, there was a table, two chairs, and a crystal sphere. There was no other person when Rex entered.

"Who dares to disturb my group?"

Rex focused on the crystal sphere. Knowing that something was way off. Rex did not know what to do.

"Sometimes, I do wish the girls could formulate a plan. Each time they do nothing but destruction rains down." Rex thought.

Taking a deep breath, Rex calmed his mind. He formed a single safe plan for himself. He knew his dad would contact the girls and let them know. If he were to be able to survive, there was only one way.

"Error."

Rex spoke.

The crystal was silent.

Without saying another word, the guard that brought Rex here. Placed his hands on Rex's shoulders. Trying to prevent him from leaving.

The aura around the crystal sphere became demonic. Rex immediately released his body cultivator Qi.

Seeing that the person on the other side was trying to fight back. The crystal sphere started to shake uncontrollably.

Everyone in the camps began to release Demonic Qi. Rex became excited and felt fear. Devil cultivators were supposed to get extra strength but their life force would be used up. The biggest problem is that no one knows where the Demonic Qi comes from.

People have said that there are two fairytales that have been around. The first one is that where the goddesses rein, there is a place for devils. In the places where the devils rein, they supposedly constantly fight and get reborn.

When one gets powerful enough, the devil can force a pact on someone making them a devil cultivator. Although it works better with someone who has evil intentions. No one really knows much more about this theory.

The second one, in certain areas of concentrated Qi. There is a chance that the Qi has turned rotten. While one is cultivating that, his/her soul will begin to rot. The more the person cultivates the stronger the rotting becomes.

Once the soul is rotten, the person gets a complete Qi change. People with bad intentions will become worse, someone with decent intentions becomes bad, if someone who only knows good intentions will lose all good intentions.

No one truly knows which one is correct. The biggest part of this is that the change is permanent and damages the soul either way.

Facing the Devil cultivator in front of him. Rex always wanted to fight against one. He also knew that he would have to use his guardians' families.

Rex pulled out the Twin Scale Swords and placed them at his waist.

He gripped the one on his left side tightly. He was not going to allow anyone to hurt him. He knew that something would give.

"This is nerve wracking." Rex thought.

The Devil cultivator is looking at Rex. He can tell that he is not ready to face him. He could also feel something off about Rex.

Without waiting he commanded the camps to charge into this tent and kill the boy in front of him.

Rex fought hard. His slashing was not good but keeping Sword Qi up. Rex began to feel overwhelmed. He had not felt this since he won the wars in the Fourth Mortal Realm.

Finally he heard.

"Congratulations for unlocking System Level 1. System will now speak into Host's mind directly. Host can also think of words to ask the system directly. System Level 2 will give you an upgrade to this mechanic.

Seeing the Technique Store. Rex enters there and sees basic techniques.

"System how do I use the Technique Store?"

"Host must choose a technique to use. Once the technique is chosen, the ability to see the final form will be shown. Without choosing a technique, Host will not be able to see the final form."

Rex felt that he got an underhanded System. Without seeing the final technique on Sword Art. He did not want to needlessly fight against himself.

"System choose me a Sword Art Technique that will be able to fight against multiple people." Rex commanded.

While Rex kept slashing and dicing, the System kept searching for a technique. Even though none were found.

Rex kept changing small words to make the system get something. Even though he could keep the slashing going. He did not know how much Sword Qi he was using on each slice.

"Congratulations a Sword Art Technique basic attack found"

Rex felt relieved because he could finally get something worthy of this manslaughter.

"Sword Art Qi Slash has been learned"

Hearing that Rex began to feel depressed because he had already been using that. It was a simple attack that Rex learned in his first attempt and he made use of it using his axes.

"Sword Art Guillotine can be learned. Does Host wish to learn Sword Art Guillotine?"

Hearing the Sword Art Guillotine, Rex saw most people using different variations of it. Most bad sects use it in assassinations, most good sects use it for beheading evil creatures or people, and then the Nature Sects use it to clean up trees.

"Sure let's learn Sword Art Guillotine." Rex thought.

There was a moment of silence between Rex and the system.

The knowledge of the way Rex wanted his Guillotine wanted to, came into his mind. Seeing himself swinging a sword horizontally using the technique, a person's head will always roll.
